Students have been busy learning about a topic of their choice! During Genius Hour students choose what they want to learn/study and use the time to become the expert on their chosen topic! Prior to the winter break, students brainstormed ideas about what they wanted to learn, and began their research. On Thursday, January 24, they should be prepared to give a 3-5 minute Ted Talk type presentation about their topic--they are the expert and will be teaching the class! Their 'Talk" should include a final 'product'. Any materials needed to work on their topic should be brought into school so they can use their Genius Hour time to work on their developing expertise. This is their opportunity to learn, create, invent, explore...
Everyone has been working on their Genius Hour projects for several weeks now and should have a clear understanding of the expectations. If you have any questions about this project please do not hesitate to contact me!
